Instrument Data quality Evaluation and Analysis Service (IDEAS)
The IDEAS consortium, headed by VEGA, provides an operational service to monitor the quality of Earth Observation (EO) instrument data from European Space Agency (ESA) satellites and selected third party missions.
IRSN - Contingency and Security Planning within a Nuclear Scenario
VEGA provided the Institute of Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) with an operational tool to enable an interactive visualisation and analysis of the complete crisis environment.
ESA: Mars Express Support
VEGA supported ESA's Mars Express mission through spacecraft platform operations support, payload operations, mission planning, systems engineering, and simulation development.
Galileo Assembly, Integration & Verification Platform (AIVP)
VEGA plays a key role in the development of Galileo, the new European satellite navigation system, which is an alternative to the American Global Positioning System (GPS).
International Space Station - Ground Segment
VEGA supports the International Space Station (ISS) through ground segment AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) support and operations validation planning.
Eumetsat Polar System - Earth Observation
VEGA supported Eumetsat within their EPS programme team and performed the operations preparation activities for the EPS payload.
Skynet - Military Satellite Technology
VEGA was asked by the Private Finance Initiative's lead banks to participate as the lender’s technical advisor during the Skynet 5 PFI evaluation
ADEN: Ground Segment Development
VEGA and ESRIN worked together to design and developed ADEN PDS components, and install them at ESRIN, at an Off-Line Archive Processing (OLAP) Centre and at ground stations in the ADEN region.
ATV - Simulations Development
The Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is one of Europe’s contributions to the International Space Station (ISS). VEGA is developing the ATV numerical models for EADS Space Transportation.
